while i’m ranting, i also have many thoughts about the kitchen strategy. which basically boil down to the fact that the point of using it is that cooking meals is another thing you bring to the table and also helps you forge social connections… it is not because women are meant to be your servants and so if they do not participate in your 1950s patriarchy simulator then they deserve to be sent home.

Find Yourself - it's alright, I wasn't a fan at the beginning but it's gotten a lot better. it's a pretty default story but the cast is good and makes it enjoyable. Nothing too special about it though, just a nice after-work watch lol.
Pit Babe - I'm still loving it, I find it very interesting, the cast is good and the plot keeps on giving so it's been a constant highlight for me lol.
Cherry Magic - also still loving it, it's light and fun and cute and just very relaxing to watch lol, also makes me laugh a lot.
Cooking Crush - my current favorite, I love it so much, everything about it makes me smile, it's making its way into my top10 for sure lol. love it.

look i live in california i know damn well the price of groceries is absurd. but whenever i see someone say “i buy hellofresh because it’s wayyy cheaper than groceries” i wince. you people just dont know how to fucking shop
#and I mean okay that’s not your fault probably but. I don’t know man I don’t like big wasteful companies taking advantage of the fact that#people (namely around my age range) don’t know how to buy staple foods and frozen produce and etc to cook with that lasts a long time and is#absolutely cheaper than hellofresh especially in the long run#I do understand the lack of time/energy to cook meals from scratch believe me but these days I RARELY cook anything that takes longer than#a hellofresh meal would. use the recipes on their website if you want but please im begging you look up tips for sustainable low-effort#grocery shopping.#I will admit. factor meals do tempt me. because my old roommate got them for a couple weeks once and I tried them and was actually very#surprised by the quality. like they actually taste like homemade meals. but logically I know it’s not a good deal except for the time it#would save. sighh#kibumblabs#said roommate is also the reason I tried hellofresh for like a week or two (she bought it and then never wanted to cook anything so I#ended up cooking them so they wouldn’t go bad) and don’t get me wrong they’re not bad#but there’s so much unnecessary packaging waste and the amount you make leaves for basically no leftovers or anything to use later and so on#it’s just really a bad deal in comparison to making anything yourself

#coming home to find M in a State#unrecognizable werewolf transformation of violent depression#all bared teeth and raised hackles#trying to bite my face off for the crime of existing#and then feeding him some soup and a grilled cheese and watching him return to normal#he is now happily arranging his music room#i love him so much but sometimes he drives me insane#like you are a 42 year old man what do you mean you haven't thought to feed yourself in the 72 hours I've been gone?#not once?#and usually he's the cook out of the two of us but he only actially cooks or thinks about making food#if I'm there to feed which is just ridiculous frankly#its not like weaponized incompetence because he did clean and he is usually the one who cooks#but idk what the fuck it is and regardless it kind of pisses me off
